Founder

Built from professional experience, not from theory.

Aurimen was founded by Lionel Berger, a finance professional with more than 15 years of experience, including more than eight years in Luxembourg financial services.

His professional exposure includes private-equity structures and entities, holdings, securitisation vehicles, and other corporate and investment structures, including financial and accounting environments and regulated financial-services settings.

The product grew from a practical question: how can complex corporate and financial reviews become more structured, collaborative and traceable without replacing professional judgment?

Why Aurimen

The idea did not begin with software. It began with the observation that complex corporate and financial structures can require professionals to reconstruct context repeatedly: who owns what, why the structure exists, how funds move, what evidence supports the explanation, what remains unclear, and how the final judgment was reached.

Important context can become distributed across questionnaires, documents, supporting evidence, exchanges, comments, clarification requests, and individual professional reasoning.

Aurimen was created to explore a more structured way to bring intake, evidence, clarification, review and documented judgment into a traceable case record.

  1. Intake

  2. Evidence

  3. Review

  4. Clarification

  5. Documented judgment

  6. Traceable case record

Finance experience shaped the workflow.

Aurimen's workflow reflects exposure to the information and review conditions that surround complex corporate and financial structures.

  • Complex corporate structures
  • Financial and accounting information
  • Ownership and governance
  • Financial flows
  • Supporting documentation
  • Professional review
  • Process and information consistency

That experience includes finance and accounting management, process improvement, systems and process implementation, and structured financial information. Aurimen was developed from this professional understanding of complex corporate and financial review environments — not from a chronological career narrative.

A finance-led product with a data and workflow mindset.

Aurimen combines finance-domain understanding with structured data thinking, evidence organisation, workflow design, traceability, and human review.

Technology supports the process. Professional judgment remains with the professionals using it.

Part of the thinking behind Aurimen was also influenced by Lionel's CAMS certification — Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist — and the risk-based principles encountered through that professional development. Those principles reinforced the importance of understanding ownership, purpose, financial flows, supporting evidence and the reasoning behind a professional assessment.

Aurimen is independently developed and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by ACAMS. CAMS is one professional influence behind the founder's approach. It is not the product category.

Designed from Luxembourg financial-services experience.

Luxembourg is provenance and professional context — not a geographic limit and not an institutional endorsement.

Luxembourg experience exposed the founder to environments involving sophisticated corporate and investment structures, including holdings, SPVs, securitisation and cross-border structures.

That context helped shape Aurimen's attention to ownership, purpose, financial flows, supporting evidence and documented review. Aurimen remains applicable to broader organisations and jurisdictions.

Professional judgment remains human.

Aurimen is designed to help structure the information, evidence, clarification and reasoning surrounding a professional review. It does not replace the professional judgment of the people responsible for that review.

Important

Aurimen supports structured professional review and documented reasoning. It does not replace professional judgment, legal or tax advice, institutional decision-making, or compliance responsibility.
